Dead Zone Premiere

You know, I’ve watched DZ pretty faithfully from the very first episode. After seeing tonight’s premiere, I have to ask, no, I have to demand,“Are the writers on CRACK????”

Walt is dead. It’s not a dream or vision, he’s really dead.

Bruce is taking a new job out of state as some sports physical therapist.

Stilson is no longer the bad guy. Apparently Janus was behind the evil genius all the way and, with him now dead as well, Stilson becomes just the next prez.

A new female sheriff starts next week and we all know what that means…love interest for Johnny!

Purdy’s off on some redemption kick for killing Janus and Walt losing his life to save Purdy’s. Personally, I hope he chokes on the guilt and kills himself. That would at least make for some interest in what now seems to be a very, very boring show.

See, for me, character interaction and chemistry is everything. You can have stupid storylines and bad production values as long as the characters have that bond that keeps it real and gives something to draw on. Without Bruce and Walt, the very foundation of the show is just gone. Walt was the base for everyone to build from and Bruce the support. Now? Now it’s just a show about a guy with powers and we have The 4400 and Heroes for that.

  1. You take Stephen King’s worst book ever (ok the worst one that I ever managed to finish) and make it into a television show. Why? It had such a neato premise (the book) yet it absolutely sucked. However, as a child of the 80’s, I had to go and watch because Anthony Michael Hall was starring in it, and oh wow he grew up to be hunky. No more nerd there!!! And guess what. It still SUCKED. Unfortunately, it followed the damned book. Of course, it clearly isn’t following it anymore as Johnny should be dead by now.
Since Anthony Michael Hall didn’t pull through for me, I had to go to my other fave nerd from the 80’s. Its ALL about McDreamy on Grey’s Anatomy.
