Crank 2 review!

heeeeee! omfg that was a riot!!

spoilers behind the cut

wow. man, I haven’t seen such over-the-topness since…well, Crank! I love Jason Statham and he is seriously the only one who could’ve pulled that movie off. between the violence and the sex and the *ahem* persuasion methods (shotgun up a bad guy’s butt anyone?) Chev Chelios used to get his heart back (literally), I seriously would’ve expected more than an R rating.

on the other hand, it was so over the top that you couldn’t take any of it seriously. Jason was his usual hot self, as was Amy, and the guy who played the sidekick, Venus, totally stole the show.

an enjoyable, if completely vacuous, 80 minutes (no, it didn’t even make 1.5hrs) that you don’t mind not getting back. or, I didn’t anyhow. ;o)

ps – if you go, stay for the credits because they do outtakes which are pretty hilarious, too.
