you're reading...

the voices in my head are arguing for domination…

just to show you that writers in general (or perhaps just me specifically) are all a bit schizo…

from a conversation with a friend tonight…

me: I really want to do a don strachey screenplay *whimpers*
me: mostly because I’m jonesing for a new movie with them
me: chad allen plays a gay detective and his partner is the guy from first wave
me: sebastian spence
Friend: heh
Friend: i’ve heard of them
Me: they are so hot and so very sweet
Friend: they’re on my list of stuff to find and view
Me: yisss
me: and see, that’s kind of what I want to create with the B&B characters. a loving, passionate, stable couple
Me: but mary’s all, “I’m going to find out who’s poisoning mrs. wilkin’s prize roses!” while trixie just rolls her eyes and goes, “be back before dark, sweetheart.”
Me: and then someone dies and the sheriff decides to ask trixie to help out since she was an MP and mary’s all in a huff
Friend: hee
Me: and *I’m* all, “not a mystery girls! stop it!” (because 75% of lesb fiction is mysteries and I’m trying to be different!)
Me: but they aren’t listening
Me: meanwhile, sam’s coming into bella rosa all sweaty and gross and looking for a bath when she gets star struck by amy who’s all adorable and petite in her gingham dress and blue bonnet
my problem is that I don’t have time to actually write everything that pops into my head, given the 40 hour work week, my new need to make actual food, and various attempts to communicate with friend-types.

if only I had someone to, oh, pay me to write. ;o)
