you're reading...

michael, michael, michael…

so I’m finally caught up on this show and…

I love this show. I think it’s the only one (except maybe for SG1) that has managed to go full circle and keep going. Not only has Michael burned another spy (however accidentally), but he’s now in charge of keeping this other spy, Jesse, in the dark. He’s become the Big Bad of someone else’s life, and I am loving the irony.

I also love the emotional continuity between Michael’s past and present. Having Maddie around keeps that going, I know, but it’s also Michael himself. The writers have managed to balance his guilt with his need to press on, which is a damn fine line to walk, imo. That final scene with Michael and Maddie, even tho I knew it had to happen, was painful and perfectly done.

On a purely hilarious level, Sam too upset to drink! Now that is a first! Even Fi looked taken aback by that. I just wanted to give him a big hug!

Also, for those who don’t know, Jeffrey Donovan directed Made Man. There are some pretty cool behind the scenes pics on the usa website.
