Best new show of 2010-11, imo

And you’re probably not watching it! I just discovered it myself over the weekend. Harry’s Law, on NBC, led by Kathy Bates and created by David E. Kelly of Ally McBeal fame. you really can’t beat that combo!

the writing is clever and fun, the storylines equally so.

the characters are quirky, loveable, and hint at a depth that we’ll hopefully get to see more of in the future.

the general premise of Harry’s Law is that Kathy Bates (Harriet aka Harry) gets fired from her lucrative lawyer job for her ennui inspired crazy behavior. she starts her own tiny firm out of a former shoe store in a dangerous neighborhood and attracts these quirky sidekicks. they all get to know their neighbors in sometimes silly, often poignant ways, as time goes on.

go! watch it! right now!
