3-day novel contest DONE!

well, it was definitely an experience. one that will be repeated in the future, in case you were wondering, but without the five hour trips to the gym. I will either have a car by then or skip the gym. that’s just a lot of writing time gone. yeesh! also, I somehow picked up a damn cold. I’ve been sneezing my head off all afternoon. I’m hoping it’s just a lack of sleep and that I’ll be all right tomorrow. I wisely took the morning off so I can sleep/recover.

I submitted the novel already. No sense hanging onto it since I can’t work on it after another hour from now. either it’ll win or it won’t, an hour won’t make any difference. as for the novel itself, well, I ended at 32,442 words and 103 pages. in my mind, that’s not nearly long enough. it’s not half of what I wanted, and expected, to get done this weekend. I’m actually very irritated about that. no excuses though. I should’ve just started with this novel instead of having to switch from the bus book after a whole day’s writing.

I do plan to work from this draft and delve a lot more deeply into it. if I do happen to win, then I doubt they’ll mind a much better version down the road. hehehehe. I submitted what I had, so I guess we’ll see what happens.

so that’s it folks! thanks for the posts from those who encouraged me! off to sleep now. :o)

  1. A whole novel in three days? Awesome job, sounds like fun. Good luck on your submission.
