then again… Flux pitch, take 6

yeah I know I said final pitch before, but hey. writers rewrite! ;o)

would love comments!

Many ships have gone missing in The Fluctuation, a Bermuda Triangle region of space. The few people who escape it return with wildly impossible stories filled with danger and wonder. Despite this, a state-of-the-art civilian ship travels into The Fluctuation with wealthy vacationers out for a thrill. Among the passengers is Rosaria, heiress to a technology empire on a thirtieth birthday cruise with her best friend. Ma’tha’skiyainashtra, Martha to humans, is a telepathic feline alien getting to know humans before her diplomatic post on Earth begins.

The ship’s engines seize shortly after entering The Fluctuation leaving it dead in space and forcing all hands abandon ship. In the chaos of evacuation, Rosaria and Martha are unaccounted for, so the Captain orders a Full Service Robot, Bob, to stay behind and search for the missing women.

Bob finds them and on the way to rescue a trapped Rosaria, Martha telepathically finds a young stowaway named Evan. Crisis after crisis strikes, bonding the motley crew as they struggle to keep the ship running and themselves alive. Brutal pirates. Deadly space phenomena. Unknown aliens with secret agendas. All this and more propel the four new friends into unimaginable adventure.

When Evan reveals his purpose in stowing away, to find his parents lost in The Fluctuation thirteen years ago, Rosaria, Martha, and Bob takes on his mission as their own. They delve deeper into The Fluctuation, making friends and enemies along the way. The danger increases, but so does the potential reward… reuniting a family.

Fluctuations’ is a light-hearted adventure novel with the soul of a coming-of-age story. You don’t have to be a teenager to discover just what you’re made of and on this journey, that’s what happens to Rosaria, Bob, Evan, and Martha.
