New short story published!

Today marks the publication of the first in a series of six short stories about the adventures of the Arbiter –  Cecily Madden who inherited the powers of Arbiter three years ago after a tragic accident left her in a coma for three weeks. She woke up able to see Others – vampires, fae, witches, weres of all kind, and even more unusual, magical beings – and the Shadowedge, a reality that exists alongside our own. The power of the Arbiter is to be able to force Others to tell the truth. It might not seem like much of a superpower, but when the truth can stop a war between the Others or find a murderer, it comes in damn handy.

Together with the Guardian, Justin Chambers, who is FBI, Sheriff, and Executioner all rolled into one, Cecily keeps the peace in San Francisco. Obstacles come in many forms, but a powerful, thousand-year-old fae is one of the regulars, along with a two-hundred-year-old witch who reluctantly gives Cecily information when she needs help with the occult.

As one of the most powerful Arbiters in centuries, Cecily uses her power to protect the innocent. If you’re in trouble in the Shadowedge, give her a call!

The Arbiter and the Mummy’s Curse is available now on smashwords.com for FREE – but only for a week.

Reviews are very welcome! I hope you all enjoy the story!
