Abduction – movie review – no spoilers

I am officially old. lol! This high school action movie was… a high school action movie. Honestly, I watched it for the (far too) brief roles Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, and Maria Bello had in it than for Taylor Lautner, who was the main character.

There’s nothing wrong with this movie. It’s got the anguished lead, the damsel in distress, and the foggy motivations of a CIA agent to drive the story. On the other hand, there wasn’t much right with this movie, either. It really felt like purely a vehicle for Taylor’s career post-Twilight. Which, okay, at least he’s working on a career post-Twilight, that’s a good thing.

Good fight scenes, a decent car chase, and a pretty nifty foot chase through a baseball stadium do not a great movie make. Still. If you’ve got a couple hours to kill and there’s nothing on… nah. It’s still not really worth it. Sorry Taylor. I feel like I should give you a hug because I didn’t like your this movie.

God I’m old. hehehehe.
